Flying with a JJRC H31 quadcopter (real images and video included)

JJRC is a well known company for it’s drones. Recently came to me the JJRC H31 drone. The JJRC H31 has the unique feature to be waterproof.

The quadcopter came to me well protected in a bubble package. Opening it, came across a big white box with info about the H31 on it. Opening it inside I found the drone, the protective for the propellers, a second pair of these protective, the legs of the drone, a small screwdriver, bolts for connecting the protective to the main part of the body of the drone, a pair of sunglasses, a second pair of propellers, a card reader, a second pair of battery (I bought it extra), a manual in English and Chinese and the transmitter.

The main battery as and the extra that I bought, as you can see is a 3.7V 400mAh Lipo. You will need about 60 minutes to fully charge the battery and after that you will be able to fly the drone for about 8-10 mins.

The drone is really big, at least to what I usually handle. If you check the video presentation, you will see that in comparison with the JJRC H36 that can fit in to your palm, the H31 is 4 times at least bigger. The dimensions of the H31 are 31 x 31 x 7.2cm.

The JJRC H31 comes without a camera, but is ready to take one if you want. There is special button on the transmitter for taking pictures or video and special port where you must connect the camera in order to take the orders from the transmitter.

Next to the port for the camera, we see the ON/OFF button, from which we activate or not the quadcopter. At the other side of the drone we find the battery compartment. It is well protected, but easily reachable in order to change that battery and continue flying.

The JJRC H31 uses a remote transmitter at the 2.4GHz frequency to control the drone. The transmitter needs 4 x 2AA batteries which are not included. To fly features a Brushed Motor that gives all the needed power to the propellers. From the transmitter we can order the H31 to do 3D rollover, to fly Forward/backward or Turn left/right,Up/down. On the transmitter we will find on the left side, the One Key Automatic Return. The H31 as you will see and in the video below is very easy to control, steady on the air and could be controlled even from a beginner, only to be above 14 years old. After taking off you can fly it at a distance of 70 – 80 meters away.

The only negative perhaps is the absence of a camera, but if you search it, you might find one. I’m sure you are going to love flying with it, as it is very good. Check the video below to see how it fly.

The JJRC H31 is a very good, big, durable and most of all waterproof quadcopter. IF you are thinking of getting one, now is the time, now that spring came and the weather is ideal for fly. You can get it at Gearbest at 26.61$ from the EU Warehouse or in Flash Sales from CN at 29.99$.
