Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Limited Edition Announced

As scheduled, this morning, Xiaomi finally brought ‘gifts from the future’ – the Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Limited Edition. The 6GB + 64GB is priced at 2099 yuan ($317). This phone will go on sale on July 10 via the Xiaomi Mall exclusive first.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Limited Edition gift box includes: the phone itself with a millennial Hatsune image on the back (each phone has a unique global number), a limited metal nameplate, a custom transparent soft plastic protective shell, and a 10.000mAh custom power bank.

Prior to this, Xiaomi had launched Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Edition. The response was quite acceptable. So the manufacturer to bring this custom version once again. Just a few days ago, Xiaomi and Hatsune’s official collaboration song ‘The Most Beautiful Stamp’ reached 1 million views.

The Xioami Mi 6X Hatsune Limited Edition adopts Hatsune Mito’s iconic green color scheme, which has a superior face value. It also uses the Mi 6X’s ‘willow waist’ slim metal body design, rear dual-camera placed vertically, and a fingerprint recognition scanner in the center.

However, it is packed with the same features as the original model. Thus, the phone sports a 5.99-inch 2160 × 1080 resolution full-screen, a Snapdragon 660 AIE processor, a 2MP + 12MP dual-camera supports AI Scene Recognition, HDR, 4K video recording and PDAF, a front-facing 20MP camera supporting AI Smart Beauty 4, and a built-in 3010mAh battery supporting QC3.0 fast charging.

It will run on MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Other features includes dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE + VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, IR emitter, and a USB Type-C port. The Hatsune Edition of Xiaomi smartphones is inspired by a singing voice synthesizer software (Vocaloid) called Hatsune Miku. This software shows an imaginary young girl with a tail. This is quite popular in Japan and Xiaomi is making these editions to win the hearts of the Japanese market.
