First we had those 1 inch screen tough phones from Nokia, then came the era of Smartphones with normal displays of 3.5-4.5 inches. But as time passed by, these smartphones began to get bigger in terms of size and now we have those hybrids termed as phablets. So today I will review one of such, the Cubot Max.

D E S I G N

Cubot Max stick to its name ‘MAX’,  a massive phone in terms of size and battery. It features a large 6.0 inch screen. The Cubot max comes in 3 lovely colours of gold, white and black. In terms of dimensions the Max measures 164.5mm×83.5mm×8.95mm. On the front we got the 3 physical navigation buttons. The back sports a block design that is something new makes the design quite funky & the 13MP primary camera. The great thing about the Cubot Max is that it runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

H A R D WA R E

To cut down its price, Cubot decided to put the decent 1.3Ghz MTK6753A octa core CPU to power the Cubot Max. It boasts a Mali-T720 GPU and features a 3GB RAM. The 3 GB RAM will make the best come out of the Cubot Max in terms of performance. The Cubot Max manages to pull out a respectable score of 40,000 on the ANTUTU benchmarks. But unlike the processor, Cubot hasn’t compromised on the RAM and storage and thus comes with 32 gigs of internal storage which is expandable to 128GB.

D I S P L A Y

Cubot seems to exaggerate a lot about its humongous display. It sports a 6.0 inch 720p IPS display. To create a visual impact, Cubots put a 2.5D glass on the front. With such huge display, the resolution could have been better, atleast a 1080p resolution was expected. Lets see what kind of  benefits does the 6 inch screen yields.

You can expect a decent quality on a phone at this price range. On the front, we have a 5MP selfie shooter that comes with beauty features.
