Gome U7’s Triple Biometric Security Explained

This sounds ambitious, but the truth is the U7 comes with three types of identification and data locking. At this moment, the Gome U7 is considered to be world’s most attractive triple biometric security smartphone. It costs only 1399 yuan ($221). Thus everyone can afford himself/herself to get hands on it. Let’s get a closer look at its protection tools.
Fingerprint identification
Every smartphone user knows what the fingerprint identification is. Usually, the reader is placed either on the back or on the front. Of course, there are a couple of models carrying it on the side. Anyway, a simple tap on the scanner area unlocks the phone. This feature has been also used for other operations such as making payments, shooting selfies, etc. The most advanced fingerprint technology can be found on the newly launched VIVO X20 Plus UD. Facial recognition
With the launch of the iPhone X, the facial recognition technology has become a mainstream. Now many manufacturers push out updates enabling this functionality on their smartphones. The Gome U7 comes with it out of the box. As you know, this feature works via the front camera that provides a facial information to the system, and it unlocks the phone if it corresponds the initial data.
But the Gome U7 uses this technology for more important operations besides unlocking the phone. Say, when we give our phone to someone to view something. But we don’t want anyone to access our certain photos. This handset has a special key on the left side. So you can use the company’s own-made ‘Face-Me’ technology and the Me-Key to lock certain photos. So they will be viewed only when the viewer’s facial information corresponds the one in the database. This feature also works for SMS and call notifications. When the phone is held not by you, the system will lock the caller’s ID and number as well as the message text and sender’s name/number.
Iris recognition
One of the first phones using the iris recognition to unlock the phone was the Homtom HT10. But this technology became popular due to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Actually, this technology is not finished yet. That’s why it is used in the Gome U7 only for security purposes. I mean you can’t use it to unlock the phone.
The Gome U7 offers two functions based on the iris recognition-Iris Horizon and Keychain. The former one refers to a private space. A long press of the Me Key will activate this feature. So the data in that space will be shown only to the phone’s owner. The second feature refers to the passwords. We have too many accounts on many apps, platforms, etc. It’s difficult to remember them all. And it’s not recommended to save them in one place. Because if hacked, all of your passwords will leak. But the Gome U7 offers us to save our passwords in one space. The latter will be unlocked via the iris identification technology working on a keychain encryption. A human’s iris has the strongest uniqueness. So the iris recognition provides the strongest security. It can’t be copied, cracked, etc.
