HOMTOM HT17 PRO Design, AnTuTu, Hardware, Battery, Camera Review

HOMTOM is a company we all know for its uniquely designed phones and is one of the few companies who try to make the affordable smartphones as power spec’d as possible. With that in mind a new smartphone from HOMTOM has taken the lead HOMTOM HT17 Pro, It is a successor to HT17  lets have a look at it closely and see what it has to offer.

DESIGN

HOMTOM HT17 Pro has 7.9mm ultra thin body and 5.5inch HD IPS screen with 1280*720p screen resolution, which i can hold in one hand and put my pocket very easily. Although it just has HD screen resolution, it can still support 1080p video recording. When i watch films by this smartphone, the screen color is very real and natural, of course, clear and vivid. So it’s not a bad advantage to use HD display. right now, it provides you with three colors, white, dark blue and champagne gold for nice selections, I like the champagne gold most.

AnTuTu 

The chipset scores an admirable score on the universal benchmarking app antutu shown here. A respectable score from an $89 budget phone. It also performs well on Geekbench and scores a good amount of FPS on the gaming banchmarks, ensuring smooth and snappy performance even for graphics intensive games.

 

HARDWARE

HOMTOM HT17 Pro will have an upgraded RAM of 2GB and 16GB ROM. HOMTOM HT17 Pro as the first one will be powered by MTK6737 Quad core 1.3GHz 64-bit processor and Mali-T720 MP1 550MHZ GPU. When we pursue the high-end processor, it will take more power consumption. However, HOMTOM HT17 uses MTK6737 which will speed up the app using and save more power for you.  The processor is highly recommended in the mid range smartphones.

 

BATTERY

It has 3,000mAh battery to support long time working. You can play games for at least 4 hours. Even for heavy use, juice is enough for a whole day. You can make phone call, search the Internet, text message, with all freedom with the Fast Charge function roped in this time.

 

CAMERA

The camera department definitely got a great upgrade from the previous version, the back camera is now a Sony made 4P 13MP sensor enough to capture great visuals in good lighting, also we have an upgraded selfie camera of 5MP. So the selfie loving young generation has their way.

 

HOMTOM HT17 Pro has the other nice impressive feature it supports fingerprint recognition and can be used to unlock the phone. The effective rate of fingerprint recognition reaches 99% and the time of fingerprint recognition is less than 0.3s which is industry leading and is found only in flagships.
