Honor 8C Officially Released at Starting 1099 Yuan

This afternoon, Honor officially held a new product launch conference in Beijing and uncovered the Honor 8C smartphone. Since the release of the 7C, the C series users have exceeded 40 million, and the favorable rate is up to 99%. Big data shows that the C-series users are most concerned about the phone’s 5 functions: battery life, memory, chip, storage, and color. So it’s expected to see improved features in all these aspects. Actually, the 8C comes with a longer battery life, more color options, better performance, etc.

In terms of design, the Honor 8C uses a 6.26-inch high-definition full-screen, which accounted for 86.6%. The body thickness is only 7.98mm. According to the official introduction, it increased the cost by 80 million yuan. But we have to accept due to these parameters the Honor 8C is too easy to implement single-hand operations.

The back of the 8C uses a 3D printing technology and nano-level glare texture design. It has four colors of Aurora Blue, Platinum Gold, Nebula Purple, and Midnight Black.

The design of the Honor 8C is outstanding. But we are more interested in hardware. This is the first smartphone to come with a Snapdragon 632 chip. It’s the lower version of 600-series. The SND632 was released in June this year. It comes with an octa-core design, using four A73 and four A53 cores. In comparison to the Snapdragon 626, it has a 40% performance increase over the Kryo 250 architecture. At the same time, the Snapdragon 632 uses the Adreno 506 GPU, which is 10% better than the Snapdragon 626. The chip is also paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery. According to the official introduction, the battery can provide up to 12.5 hours of online video playback, 11.1 hours of continuous large-scale game playing, 50 hours of music playback, or 50 hours of calls from time to time. In addition, the Honor 8C and Tencent have collaborated to bring optimization to some games.

In other respects, the Honor 8C supports face recognition with a raised wrist screen and built-in three-card slot design (dual-card dual standby dual 4G and dual VOLTE). There is also a f/1.8 large aperture 13MP+2MP AI dual-camera, while the front camera resolution is 8MP. The former one also supports intelligent recognition of 22 independent scenes, 500 + scene combinations, exclusive optimization for different scenarios, while the latter supports AI beauty and AI face unlock.

Finally, the Honor 8C 4GB+32GB version is priced at 1099 yuan ($159) and the 4GB+64GB version is sold for 1399 yuan ($203).
