Honor Tablet 5 Officially Released at 1399 Yuan

Today, as scheduled, Honor held a new product launch and uncovered the Honor 8C. But besides this, there has been another device, namely the Honor Tablet 5.

In terms of appearance, the Honor MediaPad T5 (aka Honor Tablet 5) uses a metal integrated fuselage, with a diamond-level CNC cutting, a precision sandblasting process, and a 3D curved C-type arc. On the front, it carries a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 Full HD screen using a full in-cell full-fit technology. So it’s lighter than the most of tablets with this size. The body thickness is only 7.8mm and weighs 460g. The Honor Tablet 5 is available in Blue and Grey.

The audio and video entertainment experience is the biggest selling point of the Honor Tablet 5, as it comes with built-in stereo dual speakers, Harman Kardon professional tuning, and supports for Histen5.0 sound field expansion technology, 3D surround, bass compensation, and immersion scene.

It is reported that the Histen5.0 technology is jointly trained by the 2012 laboratory, Huawei Munich Media Sound Field Laboratory, Huawei Finnish Audio Laboratory, and Huawei Japan Research Institute. After 6 years, more than 40 audio experts from around the world participated, including more than 20 patented technologies.

The Honor Tablet 5 provides two ways of fingerprint unlocking and AI face recognition. At the same time, it provides children’s fingerprint unlocking and one-click direct access to the children’s playground. In addition, this tablet supports multiple smart eye protection, including health distance eye protection, sitting posture recognition eye, time control, and blue filter eye protection.

This tablet is equipped with the Kirin 659 processor and supports GPU Turbo acceleration technology, which can bring good game speed.

In terms of pricing, the Honor Tablet 5 faces the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4. Among them, the 3GB+32GB Wi-Fi version is priced at 1399 yuan ($203), the 4GB+64GB Wi-Fi version costs 1599 yuan ($232), and the 4GB+64GB LTE version is available at 1799 yuan ($261). It is reported that the tablet will open the appointment on October 11-14, and officially will go on sale at 10:08 on October 15.
