HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ Announced

Back in 2009, the Taiwanese HTC outrun all of its competitors and was the world’s first smartphone maker. Now it lags behind. But the company is doing its best to get back the former popularity and authority. As we know, it has announced 2018 will be hot. There will be many devices designed for various customers groups and people with different incomes. Seems the company has decided to begin implementing its plane from the very bottom. Today two new models were announced in face of the HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+.

The HTC Desire 12 sports a 5.5-inch full-screen with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. Under the hood, it carries a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor clocked at 1.53GHz. The chip is paired with a 2+16GB of memory combination or 3+32GB of an option. On the back, it has a 13MP single camera, while a 5MP shooter is placed on the front. The battery is 2730mAh supporting 5V/1A charging. The phone’s dimensions are 148.5 x 70.8 x 8.2mm and it weighs 137g.

As for the second phone, the screen of the HTC Desire 12+ is upgraded to 6 inches, but the resolution remains the same at 720P. Inside the body, we can find a built-in Snapdragon 450 chip. And there is only one option of 3G+32GB. The company also decided to put a dual-camera on the back using a 13+2MP sensors combination, while the front-facing camera is upgraded to an 8MP resolution. The back panel also carries a fingerprint reader. The battery capacity is 2965mAh. At last, the dimensions are 158.2 x 76.6 x 8.4mm, while the weight is 157.5g.

Both models are available for pre-order. The Desire 12 is priced at 199 euros (3+32GB), while the HTC Desire 12+ is priced at 249 euros and will be available next month.
