HTC U12’s Front Panel Shows Single Camera and Regular Screen

Seems, the Taiwanese HTC is preparing to launch a true flagship that will be able to beat all of its competitors. Not in vain, many HTC fans hope the HTC U12+ will be the company’s savior. Yesterday, the U12+’s specs list leaked. It shows the upcoming model will sport tons of incredible features. But as the name suggests, there will be a regular variant as well. Unfortunately, the leaks and rumors don’t sound good at all for the HTC U12.

HTC U12

According to the leaked information, the higher variant, the HTC U12+ should come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 high-end chip, 5.5-inch Quad HD+ screen, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Apart from this, it is said to sport a 12+16MP camera with an extra-large aperture of f/1.5, an 8+0.8MP front camera with HDR lens and Edge Sense 2 frame touch support, QC4+ support, wireless charging support, fingerprint recognition, and IP68 rating.

As you see, the HTC U12+ is going to be a real monster. Of course, not all of its features are innovative. Say, it still uses a post-mounted fingerprint scanner. By the way, another leaked list showed it supports HTC Face Unlock. But the rest is quite impressive. This handset should succeed if priced affordably.

Well, what about the regular variant? The front panel of this handset has been leaked today. And it reveals many unwanted features. Say, it comes with a single front camera unlike the HTC U12+ and it doesn’t use a full-screen design. So if these rumors are true the HTC U12 will be focusing on the mid-range market, while the higher variant will struggle against the beasts.
