Huawei FreeLace Wireless Headset Announced at 499 Yuan

In April of this year, when releasing the Huawei P30 series, Huawei also brought a wireless headset, namely the FreeLace wireless headset. The latter supports Huawei HiPair flash connect fast charging technology and can provide up to 18 hours of long battery life.

Today, at the Huawei Nova 5 launch conference, the manufacturer also officially announced the Huawei FreeLace. It was initially available in four colors: ochre black, red tea orange, green jade, and silver moon. Today, the new Midsummer Purple variant was officially released, and the price is 499 yuan ($73). And it will go on sale in late July.

The Huawei FreeLace adopts fine-tuning 28° beveled in-ear design, fits the ear canal, and uses a metal CD texture, diamond cutting edge, and symmetrical cavity design. The battery and wire control are on separate sides, keeping the center of gravity balanced and providing more stable wearing.

A special metal cable is used. It is light and incomparable and has excellent elasticity, which reduces the long-wearing of the earphone to the neck. At the same time, it can freely fold and automatically restore the original shape.

Its built-in Hall magnetic switch can intelligently recognize the state of the earphone; automatically disconnect when it is closed, and save power. When disconnecting, it can quickly connect back and enjoy music.

The Huawei FreeLace supports Huawei HiPair flash connect fast charging function, plug and play. Through the built-in Type-C connector of the headset, the two major problems in the use of the Bluetooth headset are solved: 1. The initial Bluetooth pairing step is cumbersome; 2. When is in an outdoor environment, the power cannot be urgently replenished.

In terms of sound quality, the 9.2mm ultra-thin TPU diaphragm is made of titanium-plated technology. The mid-range is calm, the layering and vocals are clear and translucent, thereby delivering a good Hi-Fi stereo sound. In terms of battery life, the built-in 120mAh battery, combined with low-power design, can continuously play music for 18 hours – 13 hours for voice calls or 12 days for standby.
