Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition Leaked On China Telecom’s Listing
Huawei doesn’t act like Xiaomi, OPPO, VIVO, and OnePlus that have launched one or two full-screen smartphones and retired for the night. The Chinese giant has already launched several smartphones with the trendiest feature of 2017. First, it announced the Huawei Mate 10 and its larger variant. Later it came in with the Nova 2S. Today it released the Enjoy 7S. And finally, we are expecting for the Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition to hit the market in the nearest future, as it has already spotted for a few times. Today is no exception.
Today the Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition has been leaked on a China Telecom’s website revealing quite different specs and pricing. According to it, the phone will cost 1799 yuan ($272) and 2199 yuan ($332). Earlier we have heard it should cost 1299 yuan ($196) and 1599 Yuan ($242). So in terms of pricing, we didn’t learn anything well.
However, when it comes to the appearance and hardware, we see more attractive features. According to the China Telecom’s listing, the Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition will continue using Honor 9’s stylish design with double-curved edges. But this time it uses plastic instead of metal. And it supports neither 4G+ nor NFC.
As for hardware, the phone should come with a Kirin 659 chip, a quad-camera setup using two 13+2MP sensors set on the back and front, and 4+32GB / 4+64GB memory combinations. But the selling point of the Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition is going to be the 5.65-inch screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
This leak shows the company has made many changes and comes in with an almost completely a new phone. The original Honor 9 sports a 5.15-inch screen, Snapdragon 960, a larger memory of 6GB, 12+20MP camera on the back, and an 8MP shooter on the front. But it’s pricing started from 2299 yuan ($340). So as the name suggests, the Huawei Honor 9 Youth Edition comes with many changes but at a lower price tag to meet younger customers’ requirements and incomes.
