Huawei Honor AM51 Bluetooth Speaker Launched At 199 Yuan ($30)

At the special conference held by Huawei, a couple of new products carrying the Honor branding have been announced. All we have been waiting for the Huawei Honor 9 Lite, but the company made a surprise and launched another product named the Huawei Honor AM51 Bluetooth speaker aka Honor Arena Music.

Before announcing the Huawei Honor AM51 Bluetooth speaker, the spokesman said this is a special tribute given to Honor series, which has been made four years ago. Thanks to it (and the rest of smartphone lines such as P, Mate, Nova, etc.) the company has been listed among top 5 smartphone makers around the globe for up to three years. This is a great achievement if taking into account Huawei meets a tough competition and there are many markets this brand has not represented yet.

As for the Bluetooth speaker itself, it’s covered with a fabric-like mesh, while the bottom is made of TPU. The Huawei Honor AM51 Bluetooth speaker comes with a special string to holster or hang it. The physical keys and the microphone are on the bottom. The USB port made for charging is placed on the side and it’s covered with a flap to protect it from damages and water. As you guess, we are dealing with a waterproof speaker that comes with an IP5X rating. At last, its dimensions are 100x100x42mm, while the weight is 190 grams. There are three color options to choose from – red, blue, and gray.

The Huawei Honor AM51 Bluetooth speaker supports Bluetooth 4.1 with a transmission distance of 10m. It also supports noise-reduction calls and comes with a built-in independent antenna. There is a 700mAh battery providing 8.5 hours of continues playback on a single charge.

This amazing speaker will go on sale on January 8 at a price tag of 199 yuan ($30).
