Huawei Honor Magic VS Xiaomi MI MIX Hands on Review

Huawei released a mysterious high-end future smartphone, Huawei Honor Magic, which is one of the best smartphone to compete with Xiaomi MI MIX, but according to real test, we found Honor Magic tends to a predictable smartphone without too much surprise.

In terms of design, it is the expansion of curved smartphone, as for whether it’s beautiful or not, it varies from person to person. But we have to keep our opinion about the back dual rear camera and flash light. Huawei has also released a Honor Magic quick charge, which can charge 90% power in 30 minutes. We don’t know whether it’s related to 2,900mAh battery, after all, we care about the battery life.

From the specs, Huawei Honor Magic is powered by Kirin 950 processor, as you know the latest Kirin 960 processor is used on Huawei Mate 9 Pro which sells at 3,699 yuan, $600, and it can prove Huawei Honor magic is second to Huawei series, we have to say that Huawei has two hearts, one is the Huawei high-end series, the other is Honor low-end and mid-range series.

 

This smartphone aims at curved screen with fingerprint scanner on the front design, which has some similarity to Huawei Mate 9, the main innovation of this smartphone is that the nano sim card on the bottom to use front and back design. However, Honor Magic only has 5.09 inch 2K AMOLED screen, powered by Kirin 950 processor, RAM 4GB ROM 64GB internal storage, front 8MP and back dual 12MP camera, supporting NFC function and its own quick charge, 2,900mAh battery and USB Type C port.

Therefore, they both belong to concept smartphones, Honor Magic aims at curved screen and AI engine, Xiaomi MI MIX focuses on all ceramic body and bezel-less design.
