Huawei MateBook 13 i3 Version Announced, Starting at 4399 Yuan
Last year, Huawei officially launched the MateBook 13 notebook. What’s more interesting, there is almost no opponent at the price of 5,000 yuan ($745). Now the Intel Core i3 version of Huawei MateBook 13 has been put on the shelves, at a price of 3999 yuan ($596). There are a lot of amazing features. So likely you won’t find anything close to this.
The Huawei MateBook 13 i3 version is equipped with Intel’s eighth-generation new Whiskey Lake low-voltage processor of i3-8145U, which is clocked at 2.1GHz, has a core frequency of 3.9GHz and is paired with a standard 8GB LPDDR3 memory and a 256GB SSD.
The Intel i3-8145U uses a 14nm process with a 2.1GHz main frequency and a 3.9GHz Turbo frequency. The maximum full-core frequency is 3.7GHz. It is coupled with a UHD Graphics 620. The memory controller supports DDR4-2400 / LPDDR3-2133 RAM speed.
According to official data, the overall system performance is increased by up to 40% compared to the Intel Core i3-7100U processor.
The Huawei MateBook 13 Core i3 version is still equipped with a 2K screen, with a resolution of 2160 × 1440, an aspect ratio of 3:2, a 100% sRGB color gamut, and brightness of 300nit. The 3:2 screen ratio of Huawei MateBook 13 is more than the usual 16:9 and Apple MacBook’s 16:10, which is the same as the screen ratio of Microsoft’s Surface series. Thus, no matter you look at the form or read the text, you can see more content in the vertical range.

A hit file sharing function, namely OneHop can transfer pictures, videos, documents (Word, PPT, Excel, TXT, PDF) between the notebook and the smartphone at high speed. The transmission rate is up to 30MB / s. Transmission of 500 photo takes only 1 minute.
Once you touch the recording screen function, you can record the computer screen dynamically as a video (up to 60 seconds) by touching the “Huawei Share” tab, and the recording will be automatically saved to the phone.
In addition, Huawei has independently developed a shared clipboard function to support copying text content between smartphones and notebooks across devices. When the phone and the PC are close to each other, the text can be copied and pasted. Thus, a two-step copying is realized, which can effectively solve the quick reference of the text information between the phone and the PC.
