Huawei Nova 5 Series Officially Uncovered, Sporting New Kirin 810

The Huawei’s new product launch conference is up now. At the event, the manufacturer revealed some data referring to its smartphone business. According to it, the company is gaining momentum. And seems even the US ban can’t prevent its success. However, we are more interested in the new products. Especially, we want to know the biggest highlights of the Huawei Nova 5. Finally, it was officially announced.

 The original variant of the Huawei Nova 5 is packed with a 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED screen. The latter supports 108% DCI-P3 color gamut and full-range DC dimming. Our protagonist supports the screen fingerprint.

The 7.33mm body uses a diamond cutting process and a fully symmetrical metal middle frame. Due to the 3D carved texture design on the back, the phone looks outstanding and provides light-and-shadow effect under light angle change. The weight is 171g. The phone is available in four color options, including dilemma forest, midsummer purple, coral orange, and bright black.

On the front, the Huawei Nova 5 carries a 32MP lens with an aperture of f/2.0 aperture, four-in-one equivalent pixel 1.6um support, and advanced custom beauty. More interestingly, with the launch of this handset, the company has brought the portrait super night scene to the front camera.

On the opposite side, the Huawei Nova 5 sports an AI quad-camera. It combines four sensors: 48MP high-definition lens, 16MP super wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth of field lens. Due to such a powerful camera module, it supports handheld night shots, doesn’t afraid of backlighting, and generally, provides a SLR-like shooting performance.

This handset has been made for young customers. One of the core features of the Huawei Nova 5 is the new 7nm process chip of the company, namely the Kirin 810. We will provide more details about this SoC. As for now, it’s worth mentioning the Kirin 810 uses Huawei’s super file system and Huawei Ark compiler. The chip is paired with an 8GB of RAM and a 256GB of native storage.

The Huawei Nova 5 supports 40W Huawei super-fast charge. The phone can charge 50% in 15 minutes and 85% in 30 minutes. The company also introduced its 40W chargers – the 40W original charger, the 40W car charger, and 40W power bank.
