Huawei Watch GT Went On Sale and Sold Out Quickly
Today, Huawei’s two new smartwatches went on sale. Moreover, the Huawei Watch GT Sports version was immediately sold out, while the fashion version is still available for purchase in stores. Anyway, they are priced at 1188 yuan ($170) and 1388 yuan ($199), respectively.
Actually, the Huawei Watch GT was announced back in October. It was released at the same event when the Huawei Mate 20 series was uncovered. Plus, there were some other products such as Huawei Kids Watch 3 Pro and the Huawei AI Speaker.
Based on Huawei’s proprietary platform (not Google’s Wear OS), the Huawei Watch GT is built around the Cortex-M4 chipset with low power and high power processor cores. This can extend the battery life of the smartwatch: if you only receive notifications (no heart rate tracking or GPS), it can last up to 30 days; if you use heart rate tracking and 1.5 hours of exercise per week, 22 hours of continuous GPS, heart rate sensing, it will last for 2 weeks.
The Huawei Watch GT smartwatch has a slim design with a thickness of only 11.8mm, which is thinner than the 13mm of the Apple Watch Series 4.
The Huawei Watch GT features a classic double crown with 316L stainless steel and ceramic bezel. Both versions of the sports and fashion variants have a waterproof rating of 5ATM and a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454x454px.
The Huawei Watch GT has an optional optical heart rate sensor on the bottom, using 6 LEDs, and is supported by Huawei’s TruSeen 3.0 technology, which can read heart rate more efficiently and learn over time, with a built-in altimeter, pedometer, and sleep tracking.
