Huawei’s Mysterious Smartphone With Leather Back Visited TENAA

Huawei is not only launching many new smartphones periodically but also comes in with the customized versions of existing models. Say recently, a new handset was appeared on TENAA, showing a leather back. Actually, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. But many are sure this is the same Huawei P20 with a customized back cover. In this sense, there are many similarities with the Honor 8X Max as well.

First and foremost, the new Huawei phone sports a faux leather design with a stitched texture around the back. Second, one the front, it carries a pearl screen design, the screen ratio of which is 90.5%. Thus the notch part carries the front camera sensor only. This is also the first Huawei-branded model, coming with a pearl screen. Third, it uses a dual-camera + back fingerprint design. This layout looks like the Huawei P20. However, there is every reason to think this is a mid-range smartphone coming our way from Nova series.

Apart from the design, the device shares virtually everything with the Honor 8X Max, except that it might be packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 for the homemade Kirin 710 with 4GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB of expandable internal storage. It is expected to sport a large 7.12-inch 1080 x 2244 display with a befitting 5,000mAh battery. The camera sensors should have a resolution of 16MP and 2MP, respectively, while the front shooter will sport an 8MP sensor. Of course, the leaked Huawei phone will run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
