iQOO Pro 5G Smartphone To Be Unleashed Next Month

On March 1, VIVO’s sub-brand iQOO announced its first smartphone. Like Xiaomi’s Redmi, this brand still hasn’t won its place under the sun. We mean it’s still unclear what kind of devices it will come with and what we should expect from it in the future. Say, today, the company announced it will release a 5G smartphone in the nearest future. The iQOO Pro 5G is set to hit the market in August. No specific date is announced yet.

According to the previously exposed iQOO 5G phone advertising, this phone uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus platform and supports 44W flash charging. In addition, the iQOO Pro sports a triple-camera on the back. Plus, this smartphone will come with a screen fingerprint. As it will support 5G, it’s logical the corresponding logo is placed on the back.

It is worth mentioning that at the IMT-2020 (5G) Summit, which opened on July 17, VIVO exhibited the new 5G smartphone. The on-site measured download speed exceeded 1Gbps. Qin Fei, general manager of VIVO communication research institute, said the phone has got a 4G product certification and will be available in August 2019.

Though the aforementioned features show the upcoming iQOO Pro 5G will be a top-end device, there is another thing claiming this. 5G modules are very pricy. So in the first phase, they will be available only on the flagship devices. No one will buy an expensive smartphone for 5G connectivity only. So the companies will have to put many worthy features as well. This will affect pricing. And in this circle, they should set reasonable pricing.
