Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Folding Screen Computer Details Shown

This morning, the Lenovo Innovation Technology Conference entered the second day. On November 15, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing showed the first folding screen computer, namely the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 folding screen computer. As we can see, the folding screen products are becoming more and more popular. So it’s quite logical that a leading PC and laptop brand has decided to launch a computer with such form factor. But we have some fear concerning the folding part and the hinge of similar devices. We hope the new Lenovo folding screen computer won’t be delayed for the reasons that Huawei and Samsung faced.

If you remember, as early as May of 2019, Lenovo officially displayed the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 variant with a folding screen. Today, this new product is officially unveiled in China for the first time. We mean there has been a long time to work on all problems.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 folding screen computer uses a 13.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2K. So after folding, it is easier to store and carry (in the bag). The ThinkPad X1 can be connected to a stand or attached to a docking station for users who need a keyboard and mouse to operate. In addition, you can use this product as a large-screen ‘tablet’.

Regarding the price and the date of sale, the company has not revealed too much. Previously at the Canalys Channels Forum, Lenovo disclosed that the ThinkPad X1 folding screen computer is expected to be officially shipped in the second quarter of 2020.
