Meizu E3 Was Announced With Many Attractive Features

Today, on March 21, a new full-screen in face of the Meizu E3 (aka Charm Blue 3) was announced. This new phone comes with an upgraded hardware, design, and camera making it the strongest Charm Blue phone in the history.

The Meizu E3 uses an all-metal body with a 7.6mm thickness and a side 118.5 ° gold obtuse angle. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the side. It’s red. So you just can’t miss it. The screen uses an in-cell technology and it comes at 5.99 inches with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels.

There are a few color options including the traditional matte black, champagne gold, and a new color of blue.

Under the hood, the Meizu E3 sports a Snapdragon 636 octa-core chip based on a 14nm FinFET process node and paired with a standard 6GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM and a 64/128GB body storage. The battery is 3360mAh and it supports a new Cold mCharge low-temperature fast charge (reaches 53% in 30 minutes).

In comparison to the Meizu M6 Note, the Meizu E3 comes with a dual-camera using a 12+20MP sensors combination. The main sensor carries a model number of Sony IMX362, which comes with a 1.4 μm pixel size and full-pixel dual-core focus, while the second sensor in face of the Sony IMX350 is responsible for portrait background blur feature and provides a 2.5x lossless zoom. Thanks to Qualcomm Spectra 160 image sensor processor the Meizu E3 provides an outstanding performance in focusing, exposure, white balance, noise reduction, sharpening, etc. Not accidentally, its camera performance is compared to the Huawei Mate 10 and iPhone X.

As we said, the fingerprint reader is placed on the side like its predecessors. It provides a fast unlocking in 0.2s only. Of course, it supports AliPay and WeChat fingerprint payment options. The Meizu E3 also comes with the OneMind artificial intelligence engine that supports various game modes including game acceleration, game assistant, game avoidance, game keyboard, game barrage notice, game bonus notification, and many more.

In addition, the Meizu E3 J-20 Edition was announced. Its body is made by passing through laser engraving process and uses an abstract minimalist design with introverted lines and micron grooves.

The Meizu E3 6+64GB is priced at 1799 yuan ($284), the 6+128GB at 1999 yuan ($316), while the custom variant’s 6+64GB is available at 1999 yuan, and the 6+128GB model has gone on sale at 2499 yuan ($395). The latter will ship on April 9.
