Meizu M3E Design, Hardware, Antutu, Camera Review

Meizu released Meizu M3E yesterday which is the fourth Meizu YunOS phones and it has also become the latest series, E series. When we thought they will release Meizu smart watch, now in order to compete with Xiaomi Redmi Pro, Meizu decided to release Meizu M3E at 1299 yuan, $200, so can this Meizu M3E beat Xiaomi Redmi Pro?

Design

Meizu M3E has 5 colors, we got gold, grey, silver, three colors, but we like grey more. Meizu M3E uses nano injection aluminum unibody design, 172g weight, it holds a little heavy, 3100mAh battery built in, supporting 9V/2A, 7.9mm thickness.

Meizu m3E uses symmetry design in the front top. front 5MP camera, the main difference between Meizu M3 Note and Meizu M3E is that Meizu m3e has the receiver on the left, and its semicircular home button, but Meizu M3 Note home button is round.

They both support fingerprint ID and mBack interaction, but the back of Meizu M3E is not as smooth as Meizu M3 Note. Its power button and volume button are on the right, on the left is the card slot, and it supports one in two sim card, all networks, VoLTE and TF card expansion. There is minor difference between them in ports at the bottom, Meizu m3e adoptes Micro USB port, but no symmetrical speaker design like Meizu M3 Note.

Meizu M3E comes with 5.5inch 1080p IPS screen, as we know, Xiaomi Redmi Pro uses OLED screen.  So what’s the difference between IPS and OLED screen?

To be simple, IPS screen has stable and clear screen quality, fast responsive speed, and real color. But the most advantage of OLED screen is luminous  automatically, no need light source besides high contrast, thin design, wide viewing angle, etc.

As for which one is better, it varies from person to person. Meizu M3E has nice screen, and real color to support eye protection in OS. By contrast, Meizu M3E shows cold color, but Redmi Pro warm color, but Redmi Pro has better viewing angle than Meizu M3E.

Camera

Meizu M3E still runs Flyme 5.2 OS based on YunOS 5.1, so we don’t have to talk it any more, let’s see its camera function. Meizu M3E has 13MP back camera, Sony IMX258, PDAF, F/2.2 aperture, dual LED tone flash.Just check its photo samples as follow:

Meizu M3E has good color recovery in the day, and deal with details well, So does indoor have good performance. But it needs to be improved in taking photos at night.

Hardware

Most people choose smartphone to consider the hardware first. We all like to choose the high-end specs and most competitive price.  Meizu M3E has RAM 3GB, ROM 32GB, powered by Helio P10 MT6755M Octa core processor 1.8Ghz. It’s good option in Helio P10 Smartphones at this kind of price.

Conclusion

Meizu M3E has made us to see its exquisite craftsmanship in its design, and it also gives us something different from Meizu M3 Note, Meizu MX6, Meizu Pro 6. In terms of price and hardware, Meizu M3E can be a nice option for a customer. So which one will you like more, Meizu M3E or Xiaomi Redmi Pro?
