Nubia Red Devil Mars Announced

This evening, Nubia hosted the Red Devils Mars new product launch conference at the Shanghai VSPN e-sports Center. The theme of the event was ‘No Red Devil, No Live’. The Nubia Red Devil Mars smartphone was officially released, incorporating a variety of e-sports features, equipped with the Snapdragon 845 processor, 6-inch FHD + LCD screen, and a custom-made phantom battlesuit theme, and supporting 3D dual-speaker surround sound.

The back of the fuselage adopts a diamond-shaped wind groove to make a more rigid cutting shape. It also enhances the ventilation effect in addition to the attractive and three-dimensional look. Using the principle of temperature difference the phone re-optimizes the layout and structure of the air duct inside the fuselage. As a result, the air exchange capacity is increased by 81%.

It also comes with 16.8 million color RGB lights, supporting six kinds of sky, iridescent, laser, rhythm, aurora and interstellar light effects. You can also customize the frequency and brightness through the light effect editor.

The size of the phone is 158×75×9.5 mm. The thinnest part is 6.85mm. The handset uses an all-metal body, with a 6-series aluminum alloy frame. The Nubia Red Devil Mars and the God of War Camouflage design concept is derived from the digital low-visual painting used by the world’s fifth-generation advanced fighters. Through the UV laser cold-engraving technology, it presents a perfect camouflage pattern, coupled with AF invisible painting, reducing fingerprint adsorption. As for color options, the Nubia Red Devil Mars has three colors of ochre black, flame red, and God of War.

On the back, it carries a 16-megapixel camera, with an F/1.8 aperture and a NeoVision image engine that supports multi-focus, electronic aperture, multiple exposure, clone camera, and many other photography functions. On the front, it sports an 8-megapixel lens.

As said, the Nubia Red Devil Mars supports 3D dual-speaker surround sound, and is equipped with a combination of dual BOX+ dual Smart PA, which makes the sound quality clear. It is equipped with DTS 7.1 channel, which brings a more realistic and dynamic scene experience to help get immersed in the game. By combining hardware, algorithms, AI intelligence and many other technologies, the Nubia Red Devil Mars can achieve echo cancellation and intelligent noise reduction.

Equipped with an independent 8V linear motor + custom vibration control chip, it can intelligently match more than 1000 kinds of force feedback and more than 400 kinds of game scenes. When shooting, braking, or experiencing blasting in a game, the phone will intelligently generate a sense of shock and simulate a real experience.

The phone uses the most advanced Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, paired with a 6/8/10GB LPDDR4X memory, a 64/128/256GB UFS storage, and a 3800mAh battery, supporting neoCHARGE low-temperature flash charging.

In order to maximize the performance of the whole machine configuration, the Nubia Red Devil Mars can be said to achieve the ultimate in heat dissipation, coming with a copper tube liquid cooling. The Nubia Red Devil Mars runs on RedMagic OS V1.6. This is the first e-sports smartphone system based on Android 9.0 deep customization. It comes with a new UI interface, game elements, boot animation, lock screen wallpaper, global theme, and more than 100 depth games adaptation and optimization.

The prices are quite attractive as well. The 6+64GB is priced at 2699 yuan ($388), the 8+128GB is 3199 yuan ($460), and the 10+256GB variant costs 3999 yuan ($575).

As you see, the top version comes with a 10GB+256GB storage combination and an exclusive military technology of God of War Camouflage style. But what’s more interesting, this is currently the cheapest 10GB memory phone. The Black Shark Helo’s 10GB variant is priced at 4199 yuan ($604), the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3’s 10GB Palace special edition is priced at 4999 yuan ($719).

The phone goes on sale on December 8.
