OPPO 5G Smartphones To Cost More Than 3000 yuan ($426)

OPPO sent global sales president Wu Qiang to Taiwan to give a speech. Wu Qiang announced that in the first quarter of next year, OPPO will release the smartphone based on the Snapdragon 865 platform. When asked how OPPO will launch the Snapdragon 865 in the first quarter of next year, Wu Qiang said that OPPO is one of Qualcomm’s most important partners in China, and Qualcomm will fully support them.
Wu Qiang said that OPPO products, priced above 3,000 yuan, next year will no longer have 4G connectivity. He personally predicts that mid-to-high-end models of more than 3,000 yuan in the Chinese market in the first half of next year may be 5G smartphones only. Moreover, 5G smartphones that cost 2,000-3,000 yuan may appear in the second quarter. Although there will be 4G phones, the main product should be 5G models.
However, he emphasized that the exports of OPPO’s local 5G smartphones next year will definitely be higher than in overseas markets. And local demand for 5G smartphones will be greater. It is expected that about 5 million 5G smartphones will be shipped in the entire Chinese market next year.
