Realme 3 Entry-Level Smartphone Launched In India

Today, Realme just launched its first smartphone in India in 2019. The Realme 3 is the successor of last year’s Realme 2. As you understand, we are dealing with budget smartphones. The relatively new startup from OPPO had already teased a number of marquee features of the handset, but this smartphone is not likely to compete with Xiaomi’s latest Redmi phones. Instead, it is the Realme 3 Pro that a lot of people have been looking forward to giving true competition to the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

In terms of appearance, the Realme 3 is equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ water drop display, with a 19:9 aspect ratio, a brightness of 450 nits, a rear dual-camera, and a fingerprint recognition module. There are a few changes including the gradient sparkly finish replacing the diamond-cut design on the new Realme 3. The phone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and the battery capacity reaches 4230mAh.

The MediaTek Helio P70 processor uses four A73 big cores and four A53 small cores, and the GPU is Mali-G72. There are two versions to choose from. The 3GB+32GB is priced at 8,999 rupees ($127), and the 4GB+64GB version is available at 10,999 rupees ($155).

Realme is doing a great job with software and it offers Color OS 6.0 based on Android Pie while the original OPPO is still struggling to offer the same on even flagship phones.

As said, it sports a dual-camera on the back. The main camera features a 13MP+2MP sensors combination, while the front camera has a resolution of 13MP. It also has Nightscape that will offer better low-light shots with the camera.

The Realme 3 can be purchased from the official website of Flipkart and Realme in India. They will be sold at noon on March 12.
