Realme XT Officially Announced: Pro Variant Sports Snapdragon 730G

This afternoon, OPPO released the Realme XT smartphone. It’s a much-talked and long-awaited model that comes to compete with the Redmi Note 8 Pro. As you guess, its selling point is the 64MP quad-camera. The Realme series has a certain goal to conquer the Indian market. So it’s quite logical this handset was announced in India first. The company also said that in the first quarter of 2020 they will upgrade to Android 10 system.

As GSMArena reports, the Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch 2340×1080 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display with off-screen fingerprints. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 10nm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor. And there is a 4000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charge.

As for the biggest highlight, the camera, the Realme XT comes with four lenses. The main sensor is Samsung’s GW1 CMOS. But there are also 8MP super-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth of field lens, and 2MP macro lens. The Realme XT phone will shoot 16-megapixel photos by default. But there is a special Ultra 64MP mode that can take 9216×6912 pixel resolution photos. In addition, the front camera has a 16 MP resolution.

In terms of price, the Realme XT 4GB+64GB version costs 15999 Indian rupees (about $225); the 6GB+64GB variant is priced at 16999 Indian rupees (about $239); the 8GB+128GB model is available at 18999 Indian rupees (about 267). It will ship on September 16.

Apart from this, there is also a higher version, namely the Realme XT Pro. The latter comes with a Snapdragon 730G processor. As you guess, it’s been designed for mobile gamers. The battery has a 4000mAh battery, which supports 30W VOOC fast charging. It will go on sale in December.
