Redmi Note 7 Officially Announced, Starting at 999 Yuan

On the afternoon of January 10, the Redmi Note 7 was officially released. Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Technology, said that the Redmi Note 7 is the new generation of the cost-effective king. The 3GB+32GB version is priced at 999 yuan ($147), the 4GB+64GB version is priced at 1199 yuan ($177), and the 6GB+64GB version is priced at 1399 yuan ($206). The machine will officially go on sale at 10:00 on January 15.

At the beginning of the conference, Lei Jun announced good news. As of 2018, Q3, there have been globally sold 278 million Redmi smartphones. The crystal clear 2.5D double-sided glass and illusion gradient make the Note 7 show a dynamic light and shadow change effect, and the machine offers three color options of Twilight Gold, Dream Blue, and Bright Black. The front panel is covered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while the back of the fuselage carries Redmi brand new logo.

At the press conference, Lei Jun said that the Redmi Note7 has no big black edges and no big chin, and the next generation of Redmi products will be close to the iPhone X. It is not worthwhile to use the same chin as the iPhone X.

When Lei Jun talked about the fingerprint recognition module, he said that the thousand yuan machines usually use the rear fingerprint identification. Lei Jun also pointed out that the performance of the ‘full-blooded version’ Snapdragon 660 is slightly higher than the Kirin 710, which scores 137,338.

The Redmi Note 7 is also packed with a new graphite negative anode 4000mAh large battery, which supports QC4 charging.
