Redmi Note 7 Pro With 48MP Sony CMOS Officially Launched
This afternoon, Redmi held a new product launch conference and unveiled four new products, including the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 7 smartphones, the Redmi AirDots True Wireless Bluetooth Headset, and the Redmi Washing Machine (8kg).
The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with four enhancements in comparison to the original model:
- Performance: It uses a new-gen Snapdragon 675 chip.
- Camera: It comes with the Sony IMX586 48MP main camera sensor.
- Configuration: It has a 6+128GB large storage combination and comes with an 18W charger.
- Quality: The whole machine has a P2i life splash.
However, the biggest selling point of this device is the camera. The Redmi Note 7 Pro still uses a 48-megapixel ultra-clear camera, but the Samsung GM1 CMOS sensor is replaced with the Sony IMX586. The latter comes with 6P lens, F/1.79 large aperture, Re-Mosaic 48MP resolution photos, 1.6-micron four-in-one pixel mode support as well as a handheld super night scene mode.
In term of the key features, the Redmi Note 7 Pro uses a nano-waterproof coating technology to prevent damage caused by smartphone corrosion and water in daily life. It is equipped with a 4000mAh battery and 11nm process Snapdragon 675 mobile platform. The processor is upgraded from the Snapdragon 660 to the latest Snapdragon 675. It is manufactured on Samsung’s 11nm process. The latest fourth-generation Kryo CPU architecture is the same as the Snapdragon 855. The maximum frequency is 2.0GHz. The single-core performance is basically the same. This chip also uses the same Adreno 612 GPU and the Hexagon 685 DSP as the Snapdragon 845), and the third-generation AIE artificial intelligence engine, claiming that AnTuTu score reaches 185,000 points, nearly 30% ahead of the Snapdragon 660. This SoC is said to provide a lower power consumption and long lasting life. There is also a Type-C interface that supports the QC4 fast charge protocol.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro 6GB+128GB version is priced at 1599 yuan ($238), and it will go on sale tomorrow, on March 19.
