Review of the new OnePlus 3T – It comes with new better specs

I guess you do remember the OnePlus 3? The mobile was released by the company barely six months ago and was a very good mobile, with good specs, but not that good battery. Now the company suddenly decided to ditch it and replace it with a faster, slightly more expensive version of itself that the company is calling the OnePlus 3T. The new OnePlus 3T uses the latest Snapdragon 821 processor to achieve even faster speeds, and packs a beefier battery and sharper front camera. Now, OnePlus 3 was a fantastic mobile as it was, but the company made it even better. Let us have a deep look at it and how good it is.

Design

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T don’t differ at all I could as a design. The most obvious change in the design of the new OnePlus 3T is the new “gunmetal” color, which is a slightly darker shade of gray-silver than the OnePlus 3. A “soft gold” option is also available, just like with the original. The OnePlus 3T also comes with the same 5.5-inch with 2.5D AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen, 1920 x 1080 pixels display, which was sharp and bright enough to watch videos on indoors and outdoors, as OnePlus 3 had. The body of the OnePlus 3T is made from Housing Anodized aluminum.

Hardware

The previous model OnePlus 3 appeared with the Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood, when the newer mobiles like Google Pixel and LeEco Le Pro3 where released with the latest Snapdragon 821. So OnePlus had to appear the latest model also with the latest processor, so OnePlus 3T comes now with a Quad core Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz. I guess this could be one reason to ditch it and release the OnePlus 3T, which features it. For GPU it uses the Adreno 530. The 821 chip makes the OnePlus 3T faster than the original, which was already pretty speedy. The OnePlus 3T has also 6GB of RAM as the original, which makes for swift multitasking. It also features 64GB LPDDR4 UFS 2.0 ROM and it doesn’t support any external card. Of course don’t think that the 64GB of ROM won’t be enough for you!

Battery

As we have mentioned from the very start, OnePlus 3 was a very good mobile but with a not that good battery. The company mentioned that in this area has received the most negative comments, so it tried to fix it. For that it increased the battery capacity to 3,400mAh from 3,000mAh. The new battery on the Engadget’s battery test, it lasted 16 hours and seven minutes. The test includes looping an HD video with the screen set to 50 percent brightness until the device conks out. That’s almost six hours more than the OnePlus 3’s runtime, and two hours longer than the Google Pixel XL, which has a 3,450mAh bank. The company also mentions that the mobile features quick charge, which means that you can get a day’s worth of power in 30 minutes.

The opponents

The OnePlus 3T has two major opponents at this moment, LeEco Le Pro3 and Google Pixel. LeEco Le Pro 3 has less memory that the OnePlus 3T, suffers from unintuitive software, has a less vibrant display and doesn’t last as long as the 3T and all that having almost the same price. Google’s Pixel also use the Snapdragon 821, offering similar (if not better) performance in a premium frame. The Pixel has a much better camera, runs the latest version of Android (7.0 Nougat), offering a cleaner interface and helpful new features like Google Assistant. But on the other hand, Google Pixel costs twice as the OnePlus 3T, so I guess is a matter of money here what will you choose in the end. Of course we wait to see and the latest release of Xiaomi. Mi Note 2, that has also Snapdragon 821 and 4070mAh battery how is gonna make it.
