Sharp Full-Screen Phone Leaked on TENAA

Nowadays, you can find myriads of full-screen smartphones carrying various brands. This is the story we are familiar with. But there are too little people knowing the first full-screen smartphone was designed by Sharp and it was called the Crystal. The latter failed. But the Japanese manufacturer didn’t give up. It’s back to the Chinese smartphone market with the Sharp AQUOS S2. Moreover, Zhongsheng Luo, PhD, Global CEO of Sharp InFocus Mobile announced they are going to launch a smartphone with the highest screen-to-body ratio. This device is expected to hit the market in 2018. Today a new Sharp smartphone with a full-screen design has visited TENAA. And though it sports the trendiest feature of this year, this is not the phone we are waiting for.

Sharp

This mysterious Sharp full-screen phone carries a model number of FS8018. It looks identical to the Sharp AQUOS S2 when looking at it from the front. Besides the full-screen, there is also a bar-shaped home button below the display. It supports fingerprint identification.

As the TENAA document reveals, the Sharp FS8018 sports a 5.48-inch screen with a resolution of 2040 × 1080 pixels as well as an aspect ratio of 17:9. The phone also features an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB internal storage, 20MP front shooter, 16MP rear camera, 2930mAh battery, and it runs on Android 7.1.

The leaked TENAA photo shows Sharp will launch a new full-screen smartphone in China, but this is not the highest aspect ratio screen phone we have heard earlier. So we should keep waiting for a new model announced in the nearest future.
