On March 19, VIVO held a conference in Wuzhen and released two new smartphones in face of the regular VIVO X21 and VIVO X21 Under-Display Fingerprint. Both models come with tons of innovations showing off how a current flagship should look and act. So their launch has been quite expected. The regular variant will go on sale tomorrow on March 24 at price tag of 3198 yuan ($506), while the UD variant will be available for purchase on March 28 at 3598 yuan ($569).

Jovi AI

The VIVO X21 Under-Display Fingerprint comes with a brand new AI named Jovi. The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660AIE chip that integrates a multi-core neural network acceleration component. The SoC is paired with a 6GB of RAM that is sufficient for storing AI computing data and do parallel-processing multiple AI tasks. As the senior vice president of VIVO, Shi Yujian said: ‘Jovi AI can be considered as a user’s friend that see, hear, and thinks like your assistant.’ Say, it can be used to provide ticket booking, air ticket ordering, hotel booking, express delivery reminder, and other services.

3D Glass Body

The 3D glass back panel adopts the Aurora micro arc design, which has superior visual effects. The company also comes with three unique color options such as drill black, aurora white, and ruby red.

The VIVO X21 Under-Display Fingerprint variant comes with a 6.28-inch full-screen with an FHD+ resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9, and a screen proportion of 90.3%. The left and right borders are only 1.66mm. This screen adopts a color management technology and supports P3 wide color gamut It uses an ultra-narrow U-shaped slot design.
