World’s First 5G Smartphone Launched in Face of Moto Z3

There have been rumors that Motorola is about to bring a new machine. On August 2, Motorola officially released a new phone, the Moto Z3, in Chicago. This the first smartphone to support 5G. The 5G module has a built-in Qualcomm X50 modem. As long as the 5G network can be popularized, the Moto Z3 can use it freely. The module has a separate 2000mAh capacity battery.

As for the rest of the features, the Moto Z3 sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160×1080 and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip. So we have to state it doesn’t pack the latest flagship chip of the American company. The chip is paired with a 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3000mAh battery, and it runs on Android 8.1. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the side like a few other phones, including the Meizu M6S. The Moto Z3 is also packed with an 8MP front camera and a 12MP dual-camera.

The phone is priced at $480 and it will be exclusively sold by Verizon starting August 16. This is most likely Motorola’s last modular phone.

As for the 5G, at the MWC 2018, three major Chinese carriers and many companies in the industry, have released the latest 5G deployment plans, clarifying that 5G will be officially commercialized by 2020. The industry generally believes that China is expected to achieve 5G communication pre-commercial use in 2019, and to achieve large-scale commercial use of 5G communication in 2020. That’s not a secret China is investing a lot in 5G. So most likely it will be among the first countries to provide a 5G connectivity. In this sense, Verizon, AT&T, and other American carriers might yield their Chinese colleagues.
