The World’s First Helio P70 Phone, Ulefone T2 Pro Coming On Feb. 26

MediaTek has lost the battle in the high-end SoCs market. But it continues investing and doing a huge job in the low-end and mid-range markets. According to the previous news, MediaTek will launch two new mid-range chips in the first half of this year. They are going to be the Helio P40 and Helio P70. As for today, the first phone to come with the latter is considered to be the Ulefone T2 Pro. But it comes with another selling point as well.

Ulefone T2 Pro

Reportedly, the Ulefone T2 Pro is set to release on February 26 at MWC 2018 held in Barcelona. As we said, this is the world’s first smartphone sporting the MediaTek Helio P70 chip. The latter uses a TSMC 12nm manufacturing process (which is the optimized version of 14nm process node), integrates four A73 and four A53 CPU cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 2.0GHz, respectively. Thus it comes with a higher frequency than the Kirin 970. Plus, it is paired with a Mali-G72 MP4 800MHz GPU. The chip also supports a dual-channel LPDDR4-3733 memory up to 8GB, eMMC 5.1, UFS 2.1 storages, LTE Cat.12 baseband, and there is also a special DSP AI acceleration. The Ulefone T2 Pro’s Helio P70 scores 156.906 points at AnTuTu that simply means it outruns the deca-core Helio X30 and is way better than the Snapdragon 660 by almost 50%.

Ulefone T2 Pro

The second selling point of the Ulefone T2 Pro is the ‘bangs’ screen identical to the iPhone X. but it comes with an aspect ratio of 19:9. In this sense, we are dealing with the world’s first full-screen handset with such an aspect ratio. It also provides a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels. So the viewing experience should be outstanding. At last, the phone uses a metal frame and a glass housing. A dual-camera module is on the back.
