Xiaomi Announced a Number of Redmi K30 Key Features

Today, Xiaomi released a few posters, revealing many key features of the company. The phone is set to hit the market on December 10. So though we already know much about this phone, there is much time, and we will learn more in the coming days.

First, the new machine will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest 5G processor and support SA/NSA dual-mode 5G. If taking into account the current dual-mode 5G processor market, the new Redmi K30 is likely to be equipped with a Qualcomm 7 Series 5G SoC.

According to the information published in the poster, the design of the Redmi K30 phone is similar to that of the currently released Redmi Note 8. The camera module of the K30 has a circular decorative ring and four sensors. Plus, it will sport a dual-punch-hole screen.

The second poster implies that the Redmi K30 will use a side fingerprint recognition module. In addition, there is a small printing at the bottom of the poster – ‘This feature only supports the Redmi K30 5G version’ indicates that the Redmi K30 will also have a 4G version.

Third, this handset will adopt a 12-antenna design. As the company said, ‘The complexity of the RF solution for 5G smartphones has increased: the whole set of 12 antennas is 2.4 times the number of 4G smartphone antennas. The total number of devices has increased by 500, and the fuselage needs to have 4 ~ 5 additional antenna slots. The challenges are huge. Redmi uses a new structural design and RF solution to make 5G signals stronger and more stable.’

Apart from these updates, the company also announced a new feature that will come with the Redmi K30. It turns out this handset will support 5G MultiLink three-way technology. As Redmi says, the mainstream network solution uses a two-way concurrency. The Redmi K30 supports three-way network concurrency and connects to 2.4GHz WiFi and 5GHz WiFi at the same time.
