On June 14, MIUI TEAM released ‘MIUI Notice on Android Q Upgrade Adaptation Plan’ in the forum. It made a huge stir, at the same time, causing many Mi users’ anger. Let’s take a look at the adaptation plan and understand which smartphones will get OTA updates to change the system version.
Currently, it’s planned to adapt models, including Xiaomi Mi 9, Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Xiaomi Mi 8 screen fingerprint version, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi 9 SE.
Among them, the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro are expected to be tested in Q4 2019 (development version).
MIUI TEAM said that the above is the information table for the models that have already been adopted or will be adapted to Android Q. The test time is the estimated time. If there is any change in the outsourcing test time of the relevant model, it will be updated and notified. So stay tuned – if Google Android Q plans have changed, we will adjust accordingly.
It should be noted that after all the adapter models in this announcement are released for the beta version of Android, the development version of the beta will continue to be delayed for at least half a year. Adaptation work for other models is still under development and scheduling.
