Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT 2 Unboxing

The Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT 2 has been launched a few days back. There are two variants available for purchase, but both of them come with tons of improvements concerning all the aspects. The Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2S Premium Edition comes with a leather 22mm strap. It is available for 1499 yuan ($226), while the Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2 costs only 999 yuan ($150).

The XIaomi Huami Amazfit 2’s base is made of a carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate, while the bezels are made of polished ceramic. As for the rest of materials used in this smartwatch, the navigation buttons made of 316L stainless steel and the front is made of a 2.5D sapphire.

Its low-power color touchscreen is at 1.34 inches with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. Apart from this, it is packed with a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. This SoC is also paired with a 512MB+4GB memory combination. All these features sound good, but the selling point of the smartwatch is the 280mAh battery providing up to 5 days of normal use or 35 hours of heavy use when the GPS is OFF.

Anyway, we are dealing with a smartwatch that simply means the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT 2 comes with great activity tracking features including a PPG heart-rate sensor, Triaxial Accelerometer, Gyro, Geomagnetic Sensor, Barometer and an Ambient light sensor. Thanks to a Sony 28nm low-power GPS chip it supports up to 11 11 kinds of sports activities such as running, walking, outdoor riding, swimming pool, open water swimming, indoor running, indoor riding, elliptical, mountaineering, cross-country running, and triathlon.

At last, the AMAZFIT 2 comes with a 5 ATM (aka Water-Resistant to 50 Meters) label and provides some advanced metrics such as oxygen uptake (VO2 max), exercises effect (TE), exercise load (TD), and recovery time.

The ship date of the XIaomi Huami AMAZFIT 2 is set on December 31, while the Premium variant will ship on January 9.
