Xiaomi Mi 8’s Tempered Film Poster Shows Surprising Design

On May 31, on the last day of spring, Xiaomi will announce its new flagship smartphone. It’s thought the Xiaomi Mi 8 will collect all the innovative technologies into one. But there is also a rumor saying the manufacturer will coming in with multiple variants and not all of them will be packed with all those ‘black and scary technologies.’ Today, a couple of posters leaked that prove the truthfulness of this statement.

The posters refer to the tempered films made for so-called Xiaomi Mi 8. They show our protagonist will sport a full-screen, the notch of which is almost identical to the iPhone X. But we know it’s so long because the manufacturer will put multiple sensors there. One of them will provide the 3D Face recognition. By the way, it if is true, the Mi 8 will be the first Android-powered smartphone coming with such a feature.

Anyway, we also see the Xiaomi Mi 8 has a chin. It’s not too narrow. But seems there is nothing placed on it. On the opposite side, the phone carries a regular circled fingerprint reader. So we can make two assumptions – either Xiaomi couldn’t finish the on-screen fingerprint identification technology or this is the lower variant of the handset.

Let’s not lost in assumptions because, whether or no, the Xiaomi Mi 8 will debut in a couple of days and we’ll learn all of its features. But at this moment we are inclined to think there won’t be any under-display fingerprint technology on the Mi 8. So the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is the best solution.
