Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector Lands in The US for $2000

Currently, Xiaomi has at least three laser projectors that are not only very popular but also brought this technology to the next level. Previously, all laser projectors were sold for more than $15,000. But with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector at a price tag of 9999 yuan ($1500), everything changed. Now there are many models coming with similar features and priced almost identically. However, Xiaomi remains one of the most beloved brands in this market. Unfortunately, it’s not officially presented in many large markets. Well, it was so until today. This morning, it’s been officially announced the mentioned projector enters the US market, exclusively becoming available for purchase at Wal-Mart at $1999.99. Previously, Wal-Mart also exclusively sold the 4K HDR Xiaomi Mi box at $60.

The Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector was announced in June last year, priced at 9999 yuan. It adopts a large depth of field + ultra-short-focus lens design of 0.233:1. It should be placed 50cm away from the wall to obtain a projection of a 150-inch large screen.

In terms of appearance, the Xiaomi Mi Laser Projector continues the simple style of Mijia. The white body has a whole black speaker and exquisite workmanship.

Mijia also said that its laser light source has a service life of 25,000 hours, and it can be used for 34 years if using 2 hours per day. In terms of image quality, the advanced laser fluorescence display technology ALPD 3.0 is adopted, and the contrast and brightness of the screen reach the cinema level.

As for the sound quality, Xiaomi has developed a customized speaker system with built-in high-power dual-frequency + dual-high-frequency hi-fi speakers. The unique cavity guide tube design supports 3 kinds of external audio modes, and can also have cinema-level audio-visual enjoyment at home.
