Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Leaked On Promotional Photos
At the MWC 2018, we saw a concept phone named the VIVO Apex. It’s the first smartphone in the world that comes with a 100% screen ratio. Thus the whole front panel is occupied by the display. You know the main problem why the manufacturers don’t come in with such an idea is related to the camera and other sensors-so where to put them? Seems VIVO has found the solution – it hides the camera on the top, and it pop-ups when needed. Sounds good, but it’s not practical and seems outdated. Earlier we learned Xiaomi has applied for an identical patent. And it should be used on the first Mi MIX. But the Chinese tech giant didn’t come in with such a phone probably predicting its failure. So there is every reason to think the VIVO Apex will remain a concept phone like the case of the Sharp Aquos. As you remember, the manufacturer introduced the world’s first full-screen phone, which has never gone on a mass production. Instead, Xiaomi risked and succeeded by launching the Mi MIX. Moreover, it came with tons of innovations. So we are looking towards the next-gen Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S to bring the much anticipated Full Screen 3.0 technology to the market.
At the mentioned event Xiaomi didn’t launch anything new. But it revealed the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. It will release on the same date as the Huawei P20, on March 27. According to the previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be packed with a Snapdragon 845 chip and sport a full-screen. But these are quite predictable features. So what about the rest?
Today a couple of new photos leaked on the net making a huge stir around it. They are said to be the official promotional photos of the upcoming model. And though it sounds unbelievable, let’s take a look at them. According to those photos, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be using a new-gen full-screen design with a 100% of screen ratio. The front camera’s position is not seen, but we have heard it will be placed in the right upper corner. As for the rest of sensors, we know Xiaomi knows how to hide them under the screen.
On the back, we can see a dual-camera module, which simply means the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be the first Mi MIX line device with such a camera. Plus, there is a fingerprint scanner, which means it won’t be using an under-display fingerprint technology. Although we have seen a leaked photo with such a technology onboard. At last, the photos show a white unibody housing assumed to be made of ceramic.
