Xiaomi Redmi 5 Poster Reveals Its Appearance

There is a new approach in the schedule of Redmi line handsets. Seems Xiaomi is launching a Redmi-branded smartphone every 2 months or something. The original Xiaomi Redmi 5 was announced in December 2017. Then it launched the Redmi Note 5 (aka Redmi 5 Plus) in February 2018. The Redmi S2 was released just recently, in May. But it’s exclusive for India. And tomorrow, the new Xiaomi Redmi 6 will debut. Today, the manufacturer released 1-day preview poster showing the look of the upcoming model. Plus, it hints at a new processor with an adopted new process technology.

On the poster, we can read, ‘Why only use the backward process technology? The Redmi 6 gives you better.’ Previously, we have seen the TENAA documents showing an octa-core processor clocked at a 2.0GHz frequency. So many hurried to assume the Xiaomi Redmi 6 will be packed with a Snapdragon 625 chip. But there were users thinking our protagonist will come with a Snapdragon 636.

At this moment, we have no ideas what a chip will be on board, but the Snapdragon 636 makes sense if taking into account the newly-announced Lenovo Z5, which will go on sale tomorrow, by the way, comes with it. We don’t think it’s accidental. The Lenovo Z5 has been considered as the new national flagship. So Xiaomi wants to break it.

Actually, it can. Like its predecessors, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 comes with a full-screen design. Of course, it doesn’t have a high screen ratio as the Z5, but its appearance is attractive as well. Plus, there is a dual-camera on the back. We have also heard the phone will be optimized for quickly sending red packets. The body will be made out of metal and it uses a three-stage antenna design.

It’s expected to cost 799 yuan like its predecessor. If so, the Lenovo Z5 has fewer chances being priced at 1299 yuan.
