Xiaomi has officially announced Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 yesterday in Beijing. Performance
Although Redmi Note 4 has no such powerful hardware as Redmi Pro, the kind of price is very affordable. It can handle big app by Helio X20 and RAM 3GB.
We need to know that Redmi Note 4 is powered by Helio X20 2.1GHz, there is the other 2.3Ghz version which is more powerful, but this 2.1GHz version is enough to be used.
The antutu test score is 84934 which is the normal performance of Helio X20.
Battery
When other brands uses commonly the quick charge, Xiaomi is out of date in fact, except Xiaomi mi4, Xiaomi mi note, Xiaomi mi5, etc to use quick charge power adapter, others don’t have. But parts of products have hardware to support quick charge, after using quick charge adapter, it can be charged fast. As usual, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 uses 5V/2A charger, 10W power rate in theory, It’s a little small for 4,100mAh battery.
Due to limited time, we test it when it has 50% power, using the original power adapter, it needs 1 hour to charge full. Therefore, it will take over 2 hours or 2.5 hours to charge it full from 0 to 100%.
As for battery life, we play the video by IQIYI app, it consums 13% power in one hour without overheating problem. The battery temperature keeps 35 degrees.
Camera
With the improvement of smartphones’ hardware, a mid-range smartphone can also have good camera, Redmi note 4 will not be exception.
Redmi Note 4 comes with 5MP front camera and 13MP back camera, the front one supports beautification, the back can support PDAF.
Due to the nice optimization for UI, and PDAF, Redmi Note 4 has very fast focusing speed, and it satisfied us to launch the camera fast.When taking photos under enough light, just pressing the shutter to finish photographing, but under the dim light, the exposure time will be prolonged automatically.
About samples, due to time, we don’t test the photos in the day, but in enough indoor light, Redmi Note 4 shows nice white balance, no obvious color partial, which makes us accept.
In dim light, Redmi Note 4 shows very commonly, we can see pixels clearly. So if we want to capture the object, it will be not very good, after all, it only sells at 899 yuan.
