RAW PROCESSOR POWER

Redmi Pro is powered by a Deca-core 64 bit Mediatek X25 CPU clocked up to 2.5 GHz  and Mali T880 GPU for maximum graphics performance. The Rio Olympic ZUK Z2, on the other hand, runs on a 2.15 quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor and the latest and the greatest Adreno 530 GPU. With both flagship processors proving their prowess in their actual performances its a hard tie between these two.

FUNCTIONAL MEMORY

Both Smartphones pack 3GB of RAM(4GB RAM version expected in ZUK Z2), while the ZUK Z2 Rio edition has a fixed internal memory storage of 32GB. It is worth noting the Redmi Pro from Xiaomi has 32GB and 64GB internal memory options plus the Redmi pro has an additional MicroSD card slot that can expand the memory further up to 128GB.

Here definitely the Xiaomi Redmi Pro is clear winner giving you more options to expand

DISPLAY

Interestingly enough Xiaomi for the very first time has used an OLED panel this time surely an upgrade from the typical LCD used on its previous phones. Redmi Pro is said to have a 5.5” Full HD OLED display offering 100% NTSC Color gamut with 60000:1 contrast ratio. 2.5D curved glass covers the display enhancing its aesthetic appeal. Rio ZUK Z2 offers a 5″ display of the screen with Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has 16M color contrast and the display is covered in corning gorilla glass.

Clearly OLED sweeps away this category for the Xiaomi Redmi Pro.

CAMERA

At the back, ZUK Z2 Rio Edition flaunts a 13MP f/2.2 aperture camera with an LED flash and an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. While Redmi Pro again interestingly enough has a dual camera setup at the back. A 13MP Sony IMX 258 sensor at the top and a 5MP Samsung sensor below complimenting it. It is to be noted that it has a dual-toned LED flash.  Well the ZUK Z2 Rio Edition sure has a good camera but it can’t come near to the Dual camera setup of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro.

BATTER JUICE

The Redmi Pro packs in a massive 4050mAh battery with fast charge tech ofcourse which is almost 15% bigger in shear size/capacity than the ZUK Z2 Rio Editions of 3500mAh. On paper atleast the Redmi Pro’s battery should easily outperform the ZUK Z2’s battery, but that we shall decide after they go hands on.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

While Redmi Pro has been officially launched into the market and is going with a starting price of $225 for the 32GB version , while ZUK Z2 Rio Edition is only available for pre-order currently and it will be officially coming to the market on 2nd of August at the retail price of US $225 after discount.

DESIGN, SOFTWARE & OTHER FEATURES

Both Smartphone run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The Redmi Pro should have the latest iteration of MIUI on top of it and the ZUK Z2 with its own ZUI on top. They also boast of a fingerprint scanner on the home buttons which both manufacturers’ claiming to unlock the devices in less than 0.1seconds. While the ZUK Z2 Rio doesn’t have the dual camera design of the new Xiaomi, the device does boast a powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset, and a compact 5-inch FHD display. On the design front, many would find the Xiaomi Redmi Pro a better option. Well, we will see how the ZUK Z2 Rio Edition gets the response from the audience, but until then Xiaomi Redmi Pro is a no brainer to pick among these two.
