ZTE AXON 9 Pro Announced With Notch Screen and Snapdragon 845

On the evening of August 30, ZTE held a new product launch conference at the IFA International Consumer Electronics Show in Germany, officially releasing the flagship, namely the ZTE AXON 9 Pro. This is the first flagship after ZTE’s rebirth.

The ZTE AXON 9 Pro adopts the popular notch design. The screen size is 6.21 inches, the resolution of which reaches 2248×1080 and supports HDR10. The screen’s aspect ratio is 18.7:9. The phone also supports RGB sensors for precise white balance. At the same time, the phone comes with a glass back panel, on which the dual-camera is placed vertically. There is also a fingerprint recognition scanner. The body size is 156.5 × 74.5 × 7.9mm.

ZTE AXON 9 Pro

As for the core configuration, the ZTE AXON 9 Pro is equipped with the current Qualcomm flagship chip of Snapdragon 845. The latter, in its turn, is paired with a 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage, a battery with a capacity of 4000mAh, supporting QC4.0 fast charging and Qi wireless charging options. The phone also supports IP68 dustproof and waterproof. The ZTE AXON 9 Pro runs on Android 8.1 system. And ZTE promises to upgrade to Android 9 Pie.

In addition to the hardware enhancements, the ZTE AXON 9 Pro supports Dolby Atmos, but it cancels the 3.5mm headset.

The ZTE AXON 9 Pro is also great in terms of a camera performance. It is packed with a 12MP + 20MP dual-camera, the 12MP lens (Sony IMX363) of which have a pixel unit area of 1.4 microns, an aperture of f/1.75, and supports OIS. The auxiliary camera has a 130° wide-angle lens. The front-facing camera uses a 20MP lens, which supports beauty option as well as face recognition.

As for the pricing, the ZTE AXON 9 Pro is priced at 649 euros. It will hit the market in Germany first at the end of September. It will be launched in the Asian market later, but it seems that ZTE will not enter the US market again.
