Meizu E3 (Aka Charm Blue E3) Spotted in Photos

The next phone of Meizu is assumed to be the E3 and not the 15 Plus. Though models are thought to sport a full-screen, the former one targets the mid-range market, while the latter should be aiming at the top-notch market. The Meizu E3 (aka Charm Blue E3) has been spotted in spy photos for many times. But the set of images appeared on the net shows quite different design. So we think either there are a few versions of the same phone or only one of these leaks has common things to reality.

Meizu E3

Earlier, when the Meizu E3 leaked on photos we saw an all-metal body, U-shaped antenna design, and a full-screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Moreover, there was a fingerprint reader placed on the side just like the Meizu M6S. Looking at the photos below we can state the overall design of this model and the previous ones is almost identical. But… if the early leaks showed a dual-camera placed in the upper center part, these photos showcase quite another layout. Not the camera appears on the left upper corner.

Yet, we have no information on its hardware. But what’s worse we can’t do assumptions. On one hand, the Meizu E2 was equipped with a MediaTek Helio P20 chip. So it’s reasonable to see one of the new Helio P-line SoCs on it. But on the other hand, Meizu’s switched to Samsung and Qualcomm from MediaTek.  So we have no idea whether the Chinese manufacturer will continue using a SoC for the next Charm Blue model from the Taiwanese chip maker.

At last, the E2 was announced in late April last year. It was priced at 1299 yuan ($206). So there is every reason to think the Meizu E3 will targeting the 1000-yuan market again.
