ASUS Launched ROG Fantasy 15 notebook & Swift PG65UQ gaming display
This afternoon, Asustek held a 2019 ROG new product launch conference. Apart from the ROG Gaming Phone 2, there were a few other products as well. Say, the ASUS ROG Fantasy 15 notebook was officially unveiled.
It uses the Intel Core i7-9750H processor and the NVIDIA GTX1660Ti graphics card. Due to the ROG Boost overclocking engine, compared to NVIDIA’s default frequency of 140MHz, the ROG Fantasy 15 output frequency reaches up to 1590MHZ. In the Turbo mode, it can even reach to 1690MHz. Though the ASUS ROG Fantasy 15 comes with a 16GB DDR4 2666MHz memory, it supports expansion to 48GB and 512GB NVMe PCle SSD.
As for the display, our protagonist is packed with a 15.6-inch wide viewing angle screen. The rest of the display parameters include the Pantone certified color and 100% sRGB color IPS screen. There is a 76Wh large-capacity battery, which is increased by about 38% compared with the previous generation. In the Optimus mode, the laptop automatically switches to the dual graphics card. The integrated graphics card can be automatically used at low load.
The third product released by ASUSTEK this afternoon was the ASUS Swift PG65UQ gaming display. It is priced at 34,999 yuan ($5088).
The ASUS ROG Swift PG65UQ features a 65″ 4K UHD resolution panel with a pixel density of 163ppi, a brightness of 750 – 1000 nits (typical / HDR), a contrast ratio of 3200:1 to 4000:1 (min/typical), a viewing angle of 178°, and a refresh rate of 120 / 144 Hz (normal / overclocked).
The display comes with the G-Sync HDR, which uses a full array of 384-zone backlights and sophisticated quantum dot technology. Due to the 384 individually controllable LED backlight areas, light is only displayed where it is needed.
The ASUS ROG Swift PG65UQ uses the same panel as the HP Omen X Emperium, but the configuration of the display is different. The display has a USB hub and an infrared receiver, but no speakers.
