Honor Magic 2 Comes With New Magic Slide Full-screen

At the end of 2016, Honor released a special smartphone, namely the Honor Magic. The word ‘magic’ was treated differently. Many were thinking it refers to the double 3D glass with an eight-curve design. Moreover, there were dual-cameras on both front and rear. The next group of users it provides a ‘magical’ performance due to the Kirin 950 flagship chip. Finally, it joined the Magic Live artificial intelligence system. In addition, the Honor Magic came with 5V/8A 40W super-fast charging option from Huawei’s 2012 lab, claiming to charge 90% of electricity in 30 minutes. It has not competitors at that time.

Nowadays, the German IFA 2018 exhibition is grandly staged. As everyone waits for the release of the Kirin 980 processor, the Honor Magic 2 unexpectedly discloses some information. Although it is very limited, it is an infinite expectation.

It is understood that the Honor Magic 2 will achieve a new leap in the comprehensive screen design, equipped with a new Magic Slide full-screen.

Nowadays, there are many kinds of comprehensive screen designs. The VIVO NEX’s pop-up camera and the OPPO Find X’s dual-track periscope are amazing. But those technologies are expensive, resulting in a lack of user experience. Especially the mechanical lifting structure is complex and thin. So a long-term reliability is difficult to guarantee.

In this sense, the Honor Magic 2 will adopt a new sliding screen design, emphasizing the combination of aesthetic technology and experience. The structure is minimal, which not only brings about 100% of the screen ratio but also a complete experience. Not only that, every time it slips, it opens up a new world and opens up a wealth of magical features.

Apart from this awesome design, the configuration of the Honor Magic2 is equally radical and will be equipped with the latest Kirin 980 processor. It is understood that the chip will be manufactured by TSMC’s 7nm process. The world’s first commercial 7nm process mobile SoC, CPU, GPU and other specifications are enhanced, while power consumption and area are greatly reduced. It will be the first ARM Cortex A76 CPU architecture, in terms of process and performance.

Of course, the most anticipated is the integrated NPU. The AI unit is expected to evolve into the second generation. AI performance and application scenarios are bound to be richer and smarter.

In terms of charging, the Honor Magic 2 will maintain the 40W option. Moreover, after upgrading, it is safer and the experience is better. In fact, Honor is now fully technical to achieve 50W charging, but after repeated tests, they came to the decision that it’s more secure to bring a 40W charging option to the final users.
