Honor Play Considered As First Smartphone With GPU Turbo
Today, Huawei held a conference in Beijing and officially released the first game phone of Honor. It is dubbed as the Honor Play. There was another model in face of the Honor 9i, but the latter still doesn’t support the company’s scary technology. So the Play is the only handset with the GPU Turbo pre-installed.
Obviously, the GPU Turbo was in the spotlight. It’s Huawei’s unique software and hardware optimization of the game performance. So it not only provides more stable game screens but also reduces game power consumption and reduce phone fever.
Not only that, Honor’s GPU Turbo technology has learned tens of thousands of game screens and sound effects. It can perform scene recognition and performance optimization based on real-time scenes. It brings 4D vibration and 3D sound effects to smartphones, making games more realistic and improving game experience.
In addition, Honor also brought a brand new AI game assistant to support the message-free and depth-free two scenarios. Among them, the Do Not Disturb mode will be able to block out new messages as well as incoming calls, alarms, and low battery reminders. The Depth-free interruption is based on the same principle. It blocks out calls, SMS, MMS services that may affect the quality of the network.
The Honor Play is the first smartphone to support GPU Turbo. But many other handsets will get it in the nearest future. They include the Huawei Mate, P series devices as well as Honor V10 and Honor 10 phones.
In terms of features, the Honor 10 sports a 6.3-inch full-screen with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and a resolution of Full HD+. Thus it is 17% larger than business-class handsets and it is more suitable for gaming. The notch is very narrow. That’s why the screen ratio is 89%.
On the back, it carries a 16+2MP dual-camera that comes with apertures of f/2.2 and f/2.4, respectively. Like the Honor line latest models, it joined the AI camera mode supporting 3D portrait light effects, smart semantic recognition, and image semantic segmentation. A 16MP camera is placed on the front. It supports AI self-timer, 3D stereo beauty, and smart portrait
The rest of features include a Kirin 970 processor paired with a 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB memory combinations. The device is backed by a 3750mAh battery.
