OS

Huawei Mate 9 runs EMUI 5.0 OS  based on Android7.0 with very simple design. Xiaomi MI Note 2 doesn’t come with dual rear camera with Sony IMX 318 sensor, 22.56MP, 1/2.6inch CMOS, 1μm, f2.0 aperture, the CMOS can also support PDAF and contrast auto focus to support fast 0.03s focus. Xiaomi MI Note 2 doesn’t support OIS, but EIS, the advantage of EIS is to narrow CMOS thickness to make the phone more thin and light.

Under the daylight, it has nice white balance and color performance, thanks to the good analysis of  22.56MP sensor of Xiaomi MI Note 2. As for Indoor sample, Xiaomi MI Note 2 shows perfect details and high contrast degree. Due to high-pixel, Xiaomi MI Note shows slow a little image speed. after clicking the shutter, the image speed is a little delayed compared the popular smartphones, which is the bad advantage of high-pixel. In macro distance, it shows very good sample with high color saturation and brightness. Under the dim light, it can’t guarantee the enough image rate without OIS. In night vision, IMX318 is smaller than IMX298, so there is no advantage of light-in, the overall night vision tends to dark, and the sharpness looks lower, but it has nice control of noise.

Xiaomi MI MIX is equipped with 5MP front camera with OV5675 sensor 1.12μm to support the third generation 36 level real-time beautification. The front camera designs specially under the right bottom of the screen. The back camera is 16MP one with OV16880 sensor 1/3.06 inch, 1.0μm pixel size to support PDAF and dual tone LED flash light. In real test, the image effect gives us some surprise. In the daylight, Xiaomi mi mix sample has high color saturation and brightness with HDR function.  In the daylight, Xiaomi MI MIX has high color saturation and high brightness with HDR function and nice focusing speed. Under the dim light, the focus is a little delayed without OIS function to show few image yield, but it has nice purity thanks to OV sensor of MI MIX.

To sum up, Huawei Mate 9 camera samples look more natural and it also has nice night vision. Xiaomi MI Note 2 camera with IMX318 performs well with good quality of images in the day, but night vision needs to be improved whether the light-in or image speed. But Xiaomi MI MIX can take photos well under the enough light, but under the dim light, it has not big competitiveness. So Huawei Mate 9 can win in camera than other two under dim light.

Battery

Huawei Mate 9 has come with massive battery with 4,000mAh capacity, and it adopts a new charging technology, called SuperCharge with higher current (4.5V and 5A) to offer some insane charging speeds and it can support  10 minutes enough to gain three and a half hours of movie playback.

Xiaomi MI Note 2 is built in 4070mAh battery, compared with Xiaomi MI Note 2 with 3,000mAh battery, it has improved a lot. Under the state of connecting WIFI, screen brightness 50%, Xiaomi MI Note consumes 2% power to searching the Internet in 10 minutes, under the circumstance of 50% volume, watch online videos for 30 minutes to consume 10% power, so it can meet one day use without problem.

Xiaomi MI MIX shows 9873 points in Antutu software test with 4,400mAh battery which belongs to the average level. It also supports QC3.0 standard quick charge, according to result, Xiaomi MI MIX only takes 120 minutes to charge full, from 0% to 80%, it charges very fast, it can charge 484mAh power in 10 minutes, 1452mAh power in 30 minutes.

Therefore, they all belong to large screen smartphone with good and durable battery life without much difference.
