Huawei P20 Plus Battery Capacity Exposure

Huawei is going to skip the MWC 2018 in benefit of an independently-held conference on March 27 in Paris, France. Just mark this date, because on this day we’ll see the new annual flagship of the Chinese tech giant. Moreover, it’s said there will be three models in face of the regular Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Plus, and the Huawei P20 Lite. As the names suggest, the Plus variant will come with a larger screen, while the Lite version should sport ‘weaker’ features and cost way less. As the launch date has been already set, we’ll hear more and more rumors concerning this handsets. One of such leaks was discovered by XDA forum. It refers to the battery capacity of the Plus and regular variants.

An Android API document revealed the Huawei P20 Plus is packed with a 4000mAh battery, while the regular variant comes with a 3320mAh. These are quite expected, but it’s pretty nice to learn about the certain capacities.

The same source also found the P20 Plus’s product partition contains the Huawei Always on Display APK program, which means that the application will be pre-installed on the device when it releases. Therefore, the phone will come with an OLED screen. We are sure it will adopt this technology because the Huawei Mate 10 is the company’s only phone supporting Always on Display function, and it comes with an OLED display. So it’s quite expected to see the same feature on another top-notch model.

Of course, we’ll continue getting new rumors and leaks on these handsets, but one thing is out of doubts – the Huawei P20 will be packed with the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chip. As you know, it’s considered as the world’s first mobile chip with NPU.
