Huawei P20 Visited TENAA: It Sports Quite Another Appearance

Huawei has made a quite smart decision to skip the MWC 2018 in benefit of an independent conference in Paris, France. It realized the Samsung Galaxy S9 is in the spotlight, and media/customers will pay less attention to its annual flagship, the Huawei P20. The latter is said to come in with many enhanced features including a tri-camera using Leica optics. However, today an interesting Huawei phone carrying a model number of EML-AL00 appeared on TENAA documents. Seems it’s the forthcoming Huawei P20.

According to the leaked document and photos, the EML-AL00 aka Huawei P20 will be using an 18:9 screen, a dual-camera on the back with Leica optics, and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. Thus it differs from the previous leaks and rumors a lot. Say, we have been thinking the P20 will come with a full-screen like the iPhone X’s bangs screen. Thus the forehead and chin should be removed. But we see the Huawei P20 is still using its traditional full-screen design. Apart from this, we have heard and seen various renderings showing off tri-camera module. But these TENAA photos showing only two lenses. However, the back seems to use a glass housing.

Prior to this, we have heard the Huawei P20 will be using a Kirin 970 chip with NPU that brings a new AI experience to the market. Plus, its screen will provide a resolution of 1080 × 2244 pixels. Of course, it will run on Android 8.0.

The net is buzzing about this handset, but some of the influencers do not think this is the original Huawei P20. They have some assumptions as we are dealing with the Huawei P20 Lite. Well, let’s wait for a couple of weeks, and we’ll learn which device comes with a code name of EML-AL00.
