Huawei P30 and P30 Pro Officially Coming on March 26

Today, Huawei officially released a warm-up video for its upcoming P30 series. The video shows that the Huawei P30 series is scheduled to be launched in Paris, France on March 26. Also, this was announced through Twitter by Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong.

As the video shows, one of the main selling points of the smartphone is the telephoto shooting. Previously, we heard the Huawei P30 series will be equipped with a new CMOS sensor, and it is expected to use a periscope camera to achieve a 10x optical zoom. At the same time, the Huawei P30 Pro is also expected to sport four cameras, one of which is a TOF 3D sensor. The latter can realize 3D face recognition as well as 3D modeling.

In fact, not long ago, a smartphone case manufacturer Spigen preempted the transparent protective shell of Huawei P30 and P30 Pro on its official website. But they have a different design. The Huawei P30 Pro and P30 are designed with water drop screens, and the front lens (including CMOS) is expected to be consistent. At the same time, there is no physical fingerprint module on the back. This means that both will support screen fingerprint technology.

However, the biggest difference between the two is the rear lens. The Huawei P30 will come with a triple-camera, which has a vertical arrangement. Three lenses and the flashlight are in a row design. At the same time, the Huawei P30 Pro will be packed with four cameras, and the flash is designed on one side of the camera array.

It is reported that the Huawei P30 Pro will come with Sony’s new 38MP IMX607 sensor, which supports 10x optical zoom capability.

In terms of hardware, it is reported that the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be equipped with the Kirin 980 processor. As the world’s first chip based on a 7nm process technology, the Kirin 980 also uses a dual NPU design, which has greatly improved AI computing power.
